iFollowTracker is designed around longitudinal comparison. One follower count or list order is a momentary observation. A dated baseline and a later equivalent snapshot create a more useful signal because they show what changed during a defined interval.

The four-step method

Enter the exact username of a public profile, choose the tool that matches your question, review the observation with its scope and timestamp, then repeat the same method later when you need change evidence.

Step-by-step workflow

  1. Identify the profile. Use the username, not only the display name, and confirm the bio or profile image.
  2. Choose one tool. Separate following additions, follower additions, missing follower rows, profile context, stories, and exports.
  3. Record a snapshot. Keep the observation time, data source, visible counts, returned rows, and any coverage cap.
  4. Normalize the data. Standardize usernames, remove duplicates, and keep unavailable accounts distinct from confirmed relationship changes.
  5. Compare later. Use equivalent settings and a meaningful time interval.
  6. Validate conclusions. Manually confirm important changes before acting on them.

What each output represents

OutputMeaningNot guaranteed
Current countPublic total observed at lookup time.Reason for the count or every underlying account.
New rowUsername present later but not in the baseline.Exact action time or intent.
Missing rowUsername present earlier but absent later.A confirmed unfollow.
Story availablePublic story media returned at observation time.Past, private, deleted, or restricted stories.

Current demo status

The website currently uses sample data to demonstrate interface behavior, filtering, ranges, exports, and result labels. No live Instagram data provider is connected. A production data integration should be server-side, documented, rate-limited, privacy-reviewed, and aligned with applicable platform requirements.

Methodological principles

  • Label observations separately from verified facts.
  • Keep source, date, and coverage attached to every comparison.
  • Prefer repeatable methods over “real-time” marketing claims.
  • Do not infer intent from a follow, unfollow, story, or list position.
  • Respect private profiles, restricted content, and removal requests.
